Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski led a vigil at Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland, Rhode Island, on the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children to pray for babies lost to abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. Additional vigils were held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence and St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown, emphasizing a local commitment to defending pre-born life.

Rhode Island’s Right to Life Committee celebrated its 47th anniversary by highlighting its unique role as both a pro-life advocacy group and a pregnancy center, having helped save 13 babies since 2026 through services like the Ancora Mobile Resources Ultrasound Van and the Esperanza Home. The organization also held a banquet in Warwick to honor supporters, share testimonies from mothers helped by RIRTL, and feature a guest speaker who formerly worked at Planned Parenthood and now advocates pro-life efforts.
